Clockwise is gone: what replaces its travel time

Published 17 September 2026

The DOFOTT figure running late with a briefcase, a calendar and a clock above it

Clockwise stopped working on 27 March 2026, when its team joined Salesforce. If you used it for its travel-time holds, the gap is back: meetings with an address sit in your Google Calendar with the road to them looking free. This page is what those holds did, what's left when they're gone, and how DOFOTT puts the trip back.

What Clockwise's travel time did

Clockwise looked for meetings that needed travel and held time for them on your calendar. It measured from one place, the work address you gave it, and rounded the hold to 15-minute steps up to an hour, suggesting a walk when the meeting was close and a drive when it wasn't. Its scheduler also knew not to move a flexible meeting into a travel hold.

When Clockwise switched off, the holds it was keeping up stopped being kept up. New meetings get none.

What you can do now

How DOFOTT is different

Moving over

  1. Clear out old holds if any are left. Clockwise's holds were events in your calendar. If some still sit on future days, delete them so you don't count the road twice.
  2. Connect DOFOTT. On dofott.com, click Connect Google Calendar and sign in with Google. Set your home address, a work address and your work hours, and how you travel.
  3. That's it. Every event with a location in the calendars you tick gets its trip, and the next 60 days are filled in at once.

DOFOTT only adds travel time. Focus time, lunch holds and moving meetings around were Clockwise's too; DOFOTT doesn't try to replace those, and it never touches an event it didn't make.

Is Clockwise still working?

No. Clockwise stopped working on 27 March 2026, when its team joined Salesforce. Its travel-time holds are no longer kept up and new meetings get none.

What is a good replacement for Clockwise travel time?

DOFOTT adds a travel block before and after every Google Calendar event with a location, timed by Google Maps from home, work or the meeting before. It only does travel time; it doesn't replace Clockwise's focus time or meeting moves.

Should I delete the travel holds Clockwise left in my calendar?

If any are left on future days, yes, so the road is not counted twice once DOFOTT adds its own blocks.

Is DOFOTT free?

Free during beta. When a paid plan comes, you get 30 days' notice by email, and the blocks already in your calendar stay.
