Add travel time to Superhuman Calendar

Published 17 September 2026

Superhuman Calendar doesn't add travel time. It shows your calendars next to your inbox, turns an email into an event and offers your free times with a booking link, but nothing in it looks up the trip to a meeting. DOFOTT writes a travel block before and after every event with a location straight into your Google account, and Superhuman shows those blocks like any other event. Nothing to install in Superhuman.

Why Superhuman can't do this on its own

Superhuman is an email app with a calendar beside it. The calendar is a view of the Google or Outlook accounts you connect: the events stay in those accounts, and Superhuman reads and writes them there.

That's also why the drive goes missing. When you share availability from an email, Superhuman offers the times your calendar shows as free. If the hour before an in-person meeting is empty in Google Calendar, it's free in the email you send, and someone can take it.

Travel time needs two things: a Google Maps lookup for the trip, and a busy block that lives in the calendar itself, so your inbox, your booking link and your phone all see it.

Three steps

  1. Check that your Google account is connected in Superhuman. If your Google events already show in Superhuman's calendar, this step is done.
  2. Connect DOFOTT. On dofott.com, click Connect Google Calendar and sign in with Google. Set your home address, a work address if you have one, and how you travel: driving, transit, walking or cycling.
  3. That's it. DOFOTT adds a travel block before and after every event with a location in the calendars you tick. Superhuman shows them as soon as it has them from Google.

What you'll see in Superhuman

Things to know

Connect Google Calendar → Free during beta.

Does Superhuman have a travel time feature?

No. Superhuman Calendar shows the calendars you connect, creates events from email and shares your availability, but it does not look up a trip or add travel time. DOFOTT adds the blocks to your Google Calendar, and Superhuman displays them.

Do I need to install anything in Superhuman?

No. DOFOTT connects to your Google account once. Superhuman already reads that account, so the blocks appear on their own.

Will the availability I share from Superhuman leave out the travel time?

Yes. The blocks are busy events in Google Calendar, so those hours are not offered as free. The one exception is an invitation you have not said yes to: its blocks stay free until you do.

I use Superhuman with Outlook. Does this work?

Not yet. DOFOTT works with Google Calendar accounts. If Superhuman shows both, only the Google calendars get travel blocks.

Is DOFOTT free?

Free during beta. When a paid plan comes, you get 30 days' notice by email, and the blocks already in your calendar stay.

How do I remove the blocks?

One button in DOFOTT's settings deletes your account and every block it created.
